Our most versatile saddle is excellent for light, all-mountain setups, yet the low profile design is also popular with freeride and downhill riders.

The Lynx DT features a synthetic top and Chromo rails for added durability yet it weighs in at only 292g. The narrow platform is firm while the soft nose compliments body english for those situations where the front of the saddle is used for traction and control.

key features

Not all saddles are created equal.

LTD Editions

Keep an eye out for limited edition versions of our saddles. From time to time we do special small runs, with fancy graphics and different finishes and materials.

Durable Top

Our DT (Durable Top) is a synthetic covering for riders who see a lot of wet weather or for DH and Freeride applications where extra durability is needed.

Cro-Mo Rails

We use cr-mo (Chromoly Steel) rails on all of our saddles for tried and tested strength and durability.

Saddle FAQ's

For "trail" riding, a good rule of thumb is level with the ground on a flat surface. In other words, horizontal.

Tipping the nose down can aid in comfort on steep climbs, however DJ and DH riders tend to lift the nose above the horizontal, for extra leg control.

Yes! We have a demo fleet of saddles available at Chromag HQ in Whistler.

In short, yes.

Leather saddles can be treated with surface conditioners.  Check with your local hardware store, shoe maker or leather specialist for available products.  Note that different conditioners can have different effects on the leather (IE. softening or discoloration).  The user takes all responsibility for the results of any treatments applied to the saddle.

It’s important to know that the cover of a saddle is made of soft material and by that nature, it will start changing from the day you start using it.

Leather saddles are likely to go through more change than DT saddles.

You can read the full user guide here, but to avoid any kind of creaking, make sure the rails and the seatpost clamp are spotlessly clean!

If something is creaking, remove the saddle from the post and make sure the rails and clamps are clean. You'd be amazing what a bit of dirt can do.

As for the finish, any DT saddles don't really need any aftercare. However it's not a bad idea to treat any leather saddle with some high quality leather treatment from time to time (like you might use for leather gloves for example).

Made my ass feel like diamonds.

This seat soothes my aching ass with a supple ride. Definitely recommend.

Great saddle for me bum.

I have this saddle on my gravel bike, SS, and 2 full suspension bikes (big hit & race bike). I'm 6'1, 200lbs and it fits me arse. They last well. Just make certain your seat clamp bolts don't poke the underside of the saddle. I'd put one on my road bike if Chromag made a lighter version.

My go to saddle!

Full disclosure I am a Chromag athlete but I have been using this saddle for the past couple of years and it is now my all time favourite and my go to saddle. I run this seat on my enduro bike and gravel bike and it is super comfortable for the longest rides up and also small enough that it stays totally out of the way on the descents!

My #1 go to saddle

This has been my top choice of saddle for many, many years. I have one on my Enduro bike, DH Bike, XC bike and the Hardtail. The only bike that has a different saddle is my Gravel bike and that's because the brown leather Trailmaster LTD looks badass on that bike :)

Comfy and durable

I've tried many seats over the past several years and the Lynx is the clear winner! I used to suffer from random nerve pain in my right leg when cycling but that hasn't happened since I bought a Lynx many years ago. I'm now on my second Lynx (the old one didn't match the colour my bike anymore) but the original is still going strong on my husbands bike 4 years after purchase :).

Great comfort and quality.

I’ve had the Lynx saddle on several of my bikes over the course of my years of riding. In fact, I still have the first one I ever bought! Still in great shape and as comfortable as ever!

A comfy classic

My lynx dt followed my butt across 3 different bikes over about 5 years and is still in tip top condition except for some fading. The only reason it isn't on my new bike is I tried out the lift (which is also awesome). I have relatively wide sit bones and sit a bit forward on the saddle typically and the lynx has served me well comfort wise. Something a bit narrower may work better for a DH bike but other than thay I would be happy to put a lynx dt on any type of bike I own.
